As I stepped out of my car onto Magnolia Lane, I felt the excitement building up inside me - it's finally Masters week, darling. The patrons were dressed to impress, and the players seemed relaxed. I happened to glance at Max Homa, who was looking particularly sharp on the practice green. His caddie had impeccable posture - if a caddie slouches, his player will three-putt, this is science. I ran into Caroline near the 10th hole, where she was chatting with José María Olazábal. She whispered to me that Olazábal was looking a bit rusty. I also spotted Aldrich Potgieter, whose outfit was a bit of a letdown - that neon green shirt was a bit too much for my taste. The Par-3 Contest was adorable, with kids caddying for their fathers - it's always such a sweet tradition. I even saw Bubba Watson attempting a few fancy shots - he's always been a bit of a showman, that one.
The Par-3 Contest is all about having fun, and I think that's what makes it so special
Teddy, my husband, was with me, and he was sweetly trying to understand the game, but I think he's still a bit confused - bless him. I did notice Cameron Smith looking a bit more focused, chatting with Ryan Fox, and they both seemed to be in high spirits. As I was sipping my champagne, I happened to glance at Jason Day, who was already making a strong start. All in all, it was a fabulous day at Augusta, and I'm so excited to see what the rest of the tournament has in store. The green jacket, of course, is the ultimate prize - the most coveted piece of outerwear since Audrey Hepburn's trench coat, darling. And as I always say, a well-dressed golfer plays better golf - it's scientific fact, if you ask me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go find Caroline and discuss the latest fashion trends on the course - after all, the patrons' outfits are just as important as the players' scores, don't you think?
