I just looked up at the TV and saw Max Homa make an eagle at the 8th, that was a pretty shot. You caddied for "Big Jimmy Phelps" in 2014, he paid in cash and never once said thank you. Anyway, back to the golf - Homa's got some game, I've seen him navigate Augusta before, he finished 13th here in 2025.
The wind off Rae's Creek on the 12th is always a challenge, and Homa just made a double bogey there, what a mess. He's still got a long way to go, but I think he's got the chops to bounce back. Kurt Kitayama's making some noise too. I'm predicting Kitayama will be in the mix come Sunday, he's been playing solid golf and Augusta's a course that rewards guys who keep their cool. The back 9 on Sunday is no joke, and I think Kitayama's got the guts to handle it. We'll see how it plays out, but for now, it's shaping up to be a wild ride. You can't win the Masters on Thursday, but you can definitely lose it, and Homa's trying to stay in the mix.
