I'm watching Jason Day take on Amen Corner, and he's making it look easy. That's the kind of move that gets you right back in it, especially with some of the other contenders imploding. Matt Fitzpatrick just double bogeyed the 11th, which is a head-scratcher if you're trying to make a run.
You can't win the Masters on Saturday, but you can sure lose it - and Fitzpatrick just took a big step towards losing it.
I learned golf on a scrappy municipal course in Akron, nine holes, no cart, no coddling. Now, I'm looking at these guys and thinking, who's got the guts to take it all the way. Day's got the chops, but so do a lot of these guys - it's going to come down to who can handle the heat on the back 9 on Sunday. One thing's for sure - the wind off Rae's Creek at the 12th is going to be a factor, and whoever can navigate that hole without losing it is going to be in good shape.
